It’s Dmitry Z. I am 12 and I'm in grade 6. My hobby is football. I like sports. English is difficult for me. I live in Nefteyugansk in the District of Yugra. The capital of Yugra is the town of Khanty-Mansiysk. There are a lot of nice places. This is one of them, the Orthodox temple.

The Little Mermaid

Hello all friends from Russia, thank you for your letters.
I will write about The Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid is a Statue in Copenhagen. The Little Mermaid is a very important Statue for Denmark. The Little Mermaid was on a little trip to China one year ago. H.C Andersen has written a story called The Little Mermaid. The statue is 125 cm high and weighs 175 kilo. It was set up in 1913 the 23rd of August.

The Egtved Girl

The Egtved Girl is one of the best known figures from the Danish history. She lived in the Bronze Age. She was buried in Egtved and lies now at the National Museum. They found her bones and her hair and her skin. She was 16-18 before she died. There was a 6-year-old child together with her in the grave. The hill was 22 meter in diameter and 4 meter in height. Egtved is only 16 kilometres from us.

Danish food

We have lot of typical Danish food for instance red sausages, open sandwiches, potatoes and brown sauce. There is also roast pork with parsley sauce and it tastes really good. Roast pork and duck eat we when it is Christmas time. We eat meatballs in curry.

Football/soccer

Football is a national sport in Denmark. Our Football league is called Super-league. We have one football team which is in Champions-League. The name of the football team is: FC Copenhagen. FC Copenhagen has beaten the Russian football team Robin Kazan in Champions-League. FC Copenhagen was equal to FC Barcelona in a 1-1 match. Besides being in the Champions League they are also Danish champions. FCK have some arch rivals and it is Broendby and Broendby is number 4 in our league. FcK is also called the white lions.

Towns in Denmark

Hey there it’s us your friends from Denmark!
We want to tell you about some of our towns and cities.
Copenhagen!
Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark. In Copenhagen there live 1,2 million people out of 5,1 million people in whole Denmark. Copenhagen is home place for a lot of big companies as A/P Moeller maersk and Carlsberg (beer). Two of the biggest attractions in Copenhagen are The Little Mermaid and the amusement park Tivoli.
Vejle!
We want to tell you about Vejle because it is a city very close to us. One of the big things in Vejle is the shopping center which is called Bryggen. On the pedestrian zone in Vejle there are many people because there are many shops in the side of the pedestrian zone. We have a stadium and the football team in Vejle and it is called Vejle ballclub ( VB ).
